Tô Long-Nam Spring-Summer 2010 Collection

A couple of days ago I had the pleasure to exchange some e-mails with Long Nam, a young, talented and nice designer that showed me his To Long-Nam Spring-Summer 2010 Collection. Based on the concept of skin his collection captures the contradictory qualities of this organ such as fragility and strenght, softness and sharpness. A pure, simple and minimal collection designed to be sexy at the same time.
To Long-Nam is represented in Paris at Laurent Suchel Media & Communication and in Milan at the showroom Spazio 38.
His bio:
Long-Nam is a young Paris-based fashion designer. He was born in Vietnam and grew up in Munich, Germany. After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts Berlin-Weissensee in Fashion-Design he moved to Paris and started to work as a styling assistant for famous stylists Victoria Bartlett and later on for Patti Wilson. In 2005 he was offered the chance to work as a design assistant in the men's wear studio of Lanvin. In the same year he was asked to partecipate for the 21st International Fashion Competition in Hyères, France, for which he has designed his first collection. The feedback was so encouraging that he found his own company. After a collaboration with Alessandra Facchinetti for the Valentino fashion house in Milan he moved back to Paris by the end of last year.
At the present time he has an assignment with Superfine London while he is working with his team in Paris on the preparitions of his new collection for fall/winter 2010.

That To Long-Nam has got talent is a fact. If you need another prove, there is a recent big news. He has been nominated by Franca Sozzani and Vogue Italy to be presented as a young new talent. Vogue Italy, in collaboration with White, will organize an event during Milan Fashion Week (that starts in two weeks) where his work for fall/winter 2010 will be presented.
